Fabulous fountains

Hot again, but slightly cooler than of late, so most of the day was spent working in the garden.

We had intended to have our evening meal at Zorro's in Fox Valley, and then to go for a walk at Langsett after the inevitable summer-Sunday crowds had departed. But we started out too late for that, and after eating there was time only for a much shorter walk, so we headed for Winscar reservoir. When we left home it was still really warm, but by the time we reached the reservoir it was overcast, the temperature had dropped several degrees, and the wind had picked up. By the dam it was decidedly chilly and MrM was feeling cold, so we headed back to the van.

The fountains are outside the restaurant in Fox Valley. Sometimes there's no water, and when the jets of water spout up they occasionally surprise unsuspecting passers by! Small children delight in paddling around them. When they're lit up they're not quite as lurid as they look in the photo.
