Tom Tom

I was hoping for a nice display of tail feathers but no luck. He just strutted around for a while picking up bugs. That thing on his chest is called a beard (modified feathers) and is used as a display for attracting hens but Tootsie and Tilly were nowhere to be seen.  They often bring their little chicks around this time of year.  Maybe they are keeping cool in the woods.  Another hot one today and we are all praying for some rain.
