Bumblebees in the African Blue Basil

Today was one of those summer days where it was hot and super humid and the sun would be shining and then all of a sudden, torrential downpour. Then in just minutes it would stop and the sun would be back out. A while later, a sudden torrential downpour for a few minutes and then the sun is out again.

You would think the rain would cool us off but it was still 90° with a heat index of 103°. Yuck!

I went to Hudson’s and got bird seed and suet nuggets for the birds and sweet corn for the squirrels. While there I also got a new feeder to replace one of mine as when it’s cleaning time it doesn’t really get clean anymore.

Then to the pharmacy to get Kent’s medicine. Yes, I got caught in two different downpours.

Once home, I cleaned and restocked all the feeders and then collapsed in my chair on the porch and let MiniMe give me a massage while I cooled off with the fan.

There was lots of bee activity not just in the basil but amongst all the plants and flowers today.
