Styrofoam is done
Finished up cutting and fitting the second 2" styrofoam and then a 1" styrofoam. That gives me a 5" deep base. The switch motors won't be hanging under the styrofoam at all (just wires) so I won't be able to hit my head on them. I hope.I will start glueing the pieces together and to the wood support soon. Once dry it is very strong - especially needed for me to lean over and put my hands on the base when working in the corners and back wall. This stuff is strong.
I am waiting on a window fan to put in the window to get the fumes of the glue out of the house. Probably in a week. I have not glued any yet but it will go fast.
You can also see where the bridge will be - if I decide to. For the most I don't need the bridge. Trains will make up and leave Durango on the left leg, then pass to Mancos in the back and finally arrive on the right leg in Delores. I will have a Y turn around to move the locomotive and return to Durango. Occasional I might run a passenger train or freight over the bridge and have the opposite schedule like it came from the north.
The extra is my Sn3 case. I did not want the locos in storage so they are all there. Also several freight cars that would not fit in the storage box. Yes - the white gloves are to handle the pieces.
