Back On The Water
Too good an opportunity to miss.
I was back on the water this morning, bloody marvellous, a scorching hot, flat calm, bustling harbour.
We came down the river and made our way across the harbour to the waterside of Discovery Quay, formerly known as Events Square, where a London Eye style Ferris Wheel is under construction.
Swapping from cox to rowing for the return I quickly settled and enjoyed the exercise, the chat and the post row coffee.
Having called in the supermarket on the way home I’d almost made it without finding out the Lion’s result until I was told by a neighbour; “Lion’s did well then”. I still watched it though, thoroughly enjoyed it and got caught up in the “who’ll make the test team” debate with Joshua.
Coffee, dinner and then the Argentina v England rugby.
Sporting kind of day.
