The circus is coming

Spotted this sign on the road across from the hall. Apparently the Aqua Chautauqua Circus was here in the summer of 2015. I have no recollection of that. I googled and found information here and here. What is a Chautauqua?  Some interesting history. Apparently the group is touring the Gulf Islands this summer.
