First swim of the summer

Some days have a flow but this was a day in several parts.
First was the slow start, sitting around with a large mug of tea. Often in the summer I'm sitting outside but today it was too hot!
Then we took the pictured swim. On a hot day like this one I'm going into the water even if it isn't so warm, but it turned out to be very warm. You had to dive down almost two meters to find the cold water.
We didn't swim here last year because the nearby residents had set up some unfriendly signs about parking problems. Today the signs were gone, which felt good. There was a grandmother with three grandchildren on the sandy bit, while we took the rocky section we prefer. It was so nice to relax in the water.
Then it was home for breakfast (at lunch time!) But first came the picking of strawberries, wild strawberries, honeyberries and bilberries. They are all growing in our garden and it's a very short time those berries are all available to pick.
We stayed indoors during the hottest part of the day and then I went out for a cycle ride on the e-bike.
I'd checked Google Maps and seen a couple of loops I could follow through the forest. The road represents a sort of average of the ones I followed. The worst roads were much rougher than this. They worked on a bike but a car definitely couldn't have followed them. One was narrow and deeply rutted, another had grass almost a meter deep. The gravel roads that are part of the "normal" road net are better than this.
It was a fun trip, 21 km, and included another swim in another lake. That was delicious but I was soon warm and sweaty again 10 minutes after I set off again.
When I got home Jan had dinner prepared which felt very nice as I my appetite was whetted by the cycling.
Looks like another hot day tomorrow, but I'm not complaining!
