Rose after the rain

It's been another day of heavy showers.

I spent the morning machining the binding to the front of a quilt so that I can take it away with me to hand sew the back. The forecast isn't good for next week when I'm away, so I'm taking that quilt and a couple of crochet projects with me - hopefully I will at least have something to show for the week, if not much of a tan. 

I now have an appointment for Lexi at the vet school in early August which feels better. I just hope she won't be traumatised - she has taken her recent trips to the vet in her stride, but this time they may keep her in overnight, depending on what procedures they decide she needs.
