Life through the lens...

By ValC

A star.

Eight years ago we were given a garden centre voucher, for our Golden Wedding Anniversary, and I bought one of my favourite plants, a Star Jasmine.
It was to remind us of summer holidays in France where it grew everywhere and the perfume is exquisite.
It has been in a pot by the front door and flowered every year since.
My sense of smell isn’t very good now but yesterday evening I just stood by the door and  breathed in that gorgeous perfume.

For various reasons, three weeks ago our Sit and Be Fit class suddenly finished.
We were all devastated.
However today a new class started in the same Methodist Church.
It is run by an organisation called Umbrella Yoga.
A Not- for - Profit organisation providing yoga sessions to people with mental and physical needs in Kirklees and West Yorkshire.
The idea is to bring communities together through yoga.
It was good to see many of the usual faces and although slightly different from our previous class we still enjoyed it.
So will give it a go.  ( although not quite as much fun)

It has rained most of today but not heavily. The garden has perked up.
Certainly a lot cooler!
