Leaves

I was surprised to find that I hadn't really blipped my 'fruit' cage so here is the lettuce I planted out this morning into the clay I broke up yesterday. Along with some that are still homeless.

And then - I rehabilitated my spare bike ready for a friend to borrow and test-rode it into town to rejoin the library! Even though I was the child who walked to school with her nose in a book, I stopped being able to concentrate on reading during Lockdowns. My library membership lapsed. But before I went to Naples in May, I downloaded the first book of Elena Ferrante's Naples quartet and I so enjoyed losing myself in a book again that, even though I'm being very slow about it, I downloaded the second and finished that. Now I want to find the third in paper format. The library didn't have it, but I borrowed two other books. I might be turning back into a reader. Just as the hammock is slung. Is that a coincidence?
