Waiting for the train

Very sad this morning at Euston Station.

A 30 year old man threw himself under the Virgin Intercity at Milton Keynes. An eyewitness I spoke to later in the day (a cleaner for Virgin Trains) described his remains being cleaned from the front of the train and removed from the tracks in bin bags.

Sadly this is a fairly common occurrence these day, especially on the Underground.

The effect of this was to close that part of the line meaning that three train loads of passengers had to get onto one train. Everyone is staring at the destination board waiting for a train going in their direction.

Luckily I got to the station early and caught the only train possible this morning. Sitting in first class, it was a stroke of luck.
