A loveliness of ladybirds!

I love the collective noun for ladybirds!

On our walk through the wildflower field today, I was struck by how many ladybirds there were, especially on the cornflowers.  I read that there are a lot of them around this year although not so far in the 'plague' proportions seen in the summer of 1976!  I remember that year well - there were thousands of them and I found out that they could bite!  I've added an extra to show them clustering on the cornflowers, no doubt enjoying the aphids or something.
