First Day
This was my eldest grandson's first day at school, his mother's alma mater, in Edinburgh, and he looked unusually tidy for the event.
I have to say that when he came home, his blazer was off, as was his jumper and his shirt was hanging loose. At least his tie was still on and knotted.
This is a big move for him. He has spent the last seven years at the village school in Kinloch Rannoch where the school roll is 28. Now he is in a first year group of 200.
His younger brother and sisters have also had to make the change to a city school and are enrolled in the local primary school with only a slightly smaller number of pupils. They will feel like small fish in a big pool.
It seems the first day went well. A good beginning then, let's hope he keeps it up: Seb can be a bit of a wild card at times.
