Life for others

A morning swim at Marjaniemi beach, then a visit to the Finnish Museum of Photography to see Karoliina Paatos - Heroes and Cowboy Girls and Activestills - Documenting life, death and resistance in Palestine. The former was a thoughtful, nuanced set showing the power of building relationships between photographer and subject; the later covered the past twenty years in Gaza. Difficult to view, impossible to turn away from.
