"Not allowed to demonstrate"
I chatted to the four people for a while this morning, they had been moved on by the market inspectors who said in the run up to any election no one is allowed to make any sort of protest anywhere in the town.
It was clear that they were all passionate about the fact that 1700 people in new charter accommodation were already affected by the bedroom tax.
Soon these people will also be paying the new council tax supplement. Many are struggling on low income, disabled, or unemployed. There are few jobs in this area and they were canvassing to get local people involved and make a stand and sign their petition to tax the rich not the poor.
They were undeterred and planned to find another spot to continue their protest, I signed and wished them luck.
Dad a little better but is feeling very down, he's missing being outdoors walking but at the moment that's impossible.
