This morning I couldn't get my mom's favorite and so I brought over an old fashioned maple and raspberry jelly raised doughnut. With the highway being closed for construction I got there a bit later but she was very happy to see me. After I explained what I brought she decided to eat BOTH of them!!  Well I did get her to eat her eggs and bacon for a little protein at least.

Alligators were on the television and I could see they were upsetting her so I changed it to kittens and puppies. So hard when everything on television seems real to her - commercials and all... After awhile she started worrying about the animals getting hurt in all the crazy things they were doing so the channel was switched again... 

We just talked a little about this and that... So many fears... kept asking why her husband hasn't came to visit, why her daughter wasn't answering phone calls (she has no phone let alone can't physically use one), and... I ended up staying over an hour longer making sure she was calm before I left.

At home it was 90 F / 32.2C in the apartment.  I've been going back and forth on an AC unit... It so rarely hits 95F+ in Seattle but then again, just 3 nights in a hotel room would pay for the unit.. running it though is another matter...  Odd day at work tomorrow - doing things I don't like to do but then that's why it is called work  ;-)   At least the truck has AC...
