We Just Need To Go And Do As We're Told!

It wasn't raining as we left home this morning, but the forecast on my phone showed that it would be raining before our church service was over and they were right, but we were safe and dry as we gathered to glorify and worship God.  Because it is choir sabbatical in July at our church and our regular pianist is out of town, we were blessed to hear a beautiful piano solo by Deani who is subbing for Susan today.  Aire To The Throne was our featured music group in the absence of the choir and they began the vocal music portion of our service with an upbeat song about the real superhero of all time, Jesus, and how He has promised to return for us and take us to heaven with him forever. After a short time of greeting and fellowship, Pastor Wes gave the welcome and then AT3 blessed us with one more song, "Mountain, Get Out Of My Way".  Daniel and Gabe, then led us in a few songs of congregational praise accompanied by our praise band,  including my personal favorite, "The Goodness Of God".  Pastor Wes took us back to Acts 2:1-18, part of the 41 verses we looked at last week to remind us that Jesus still has the same mission that He has always had to reach the world with the saving knowledge of His work on the cross which is available to all who will come to Him in repentance and faith.  But, now He is doing that work through all of us who have the Holy Spirit living in us to empower us.  We just need to go do what He has told us to do!
