Something Unexpected

Even familiar places have unexpected surprises. We have come to love Saltram House Gardens, Plymouth. This is s view I had never really noticed. Taken from the avenue of limes it gives an impression of Summer with cool sea breezes through the trees.
Walking through the gardens an area of one of the paths was covered in a layer of fluffy, white material. Amongst the leaves the tree overhead was thick with fluffy white balls (see extras). A new one on me, this turned out to be a Chinese necklace poplar tree.
