You Can’t See Me!

A great half an hour watching this Female Little Bittern darting her head out of the reeds or balancing, legs akimbo, on two reeds. Then this Grebe swam close to her and she extended her neck to reveal even more impressive camouflage. These are very rare in Switzerland with an estimated 90-120 pairs. I feel privileged to have seen this.

We now have people arriving for dinner in half an hour, so must get on.
