Ramblings and Mutterings

Up at ridiculous o'clock to head to London. Thankfully it was a day off as I was going to Lords to watch the first day of the third test between England and India.

It was good to have some timeout from work with my big meeting coming up tomorrow.

It was a ridiculously hot day and quite a few people were suffering with heatstroke at the cricket. One old gent next to us collapsed and the St Johns Ambulance people were with him for ages.

England won the toss and decided to bat. A big cheer went up, especially after the first two tests. The cricket wasn't the most exciting, the pitch wasn't doing too much. Joe Root was close to a century at the end of play.

I got chatting to the two gentlemen sat next to me and we had a jolly good chat and laugh. Putting the world right with our observations on test match cricket, politics etc. Lol!

Off to the hotel then. I messaged a colleague to see if he was in London, he was but he was with the big chief. I said I didn't want to be anywhere near that idiot. I've hinted to him that basically I'm gone tomorrow.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  A good day at the test match
