All the leaves are brown.

This is about as serious a drought situation as I’ve ever seen in our garden.
We’ve had these crocosmia for years and they’ve never failed to flower before , crinkly and dead before they’ve even flowered properly.
The leaves have died off too . Even the indestructible bindweed growing up the their stems is struggling.
The mournful rustling of their brown, dead  leaves sounds like a distress signal.
