Swanage Railway

Meeting an old friend and ex colleague from my fire service days at a campsite between Swanage and Corfe castle. Entrance to the site was under an unexpectedly narrow railway bridge. Mirrors in job.

As usual things didn’t go smoothly on the way here with a distinct smell of burning coming from somewhere. Luckily a lay by was close and we stopped. Memories of an other occasion where we had a fire in the front breaks came back to the fore.

Luckily no fire this time but the breaks were binding and overheating. Cause? A recent service and break adjustment!

Luckily? We were close enough to home and the garage that did the work and they came out to rectify the fault. No fun in this heat!

Hopefully the rest of the day will improve now we are here and settled.
