If you go down to the woods today....

Not Yellowstone, not a wildlife park or zoo, but a secluded field hidden away in woodland in the Highlands of Scotland. These bison are being bred for their meat. They took me quite by surprise as we were driving through the woods. It does look a strange sight in these parts.

Postscript: sad to hear later that these animals were adjudged to be too dangerous to move so they were slaughtered (shot) where they stood in the field.
