Peter's fields 230/365

Peter farmed these fields for 59 years and only retired last year at the age of 86. I saw him about three weeks ago and he seemed his usual stoical self. He'd lost his beloved wife, Val, only a few months ago and had been seriously ill himself. He remarked that it might be tough going now, but they'd had over 80 years of good fortune. Peter passed away on Friday night, aged 87. He was a lovely man and we will all miss him as one of the last tough "Gentleman Farmers'
