Great Spotted Woodpecker

I've blipped this juvenile recently but I really wanted one of it on the post, rather than on the peanuts.

Our relief cleaner kindly attended to the lodge today while I went to a meeting over at church this morning. It was cool in church but the heat of the day made me want to wear a dress or shorts. The problem? I didn't have any sandals.

This afternoon we were to go looking for a steam train but it's journey was cancelled due to the high risk of grass fires from sparks. I went into town and bought sandals instead!
