Hydrangeas and butterflies

In the 4 days we were in London, the hydrangeas started to open and the garden is aflutter with butterflies.  We spent a lot of time this morning watering and hope the hosepipe ban doesn't come in soon.

After going to Fiddler on the Roof on Wednesday, on Thursday we went to the Wigmore Hall for Cedric Tibergien, Alina Ibragimova and friends playing a wonderful (and incredibly difficult) programme of late Beethoven and Brahms.

Then last night we went to the final concert of the LSO's season - Pappano conducting Richard Strauss' Salome.  When the soloists are world-class, as they were last night, who needs sets and costumes?  The facial expressions, voices and music say it all.  It was one of the musical highlights of my life, utterly enthralling.
