Over the road

If I leave my house and cross the lane, then follow the footpath for about 1 minute,  I come to this field with the Lonesome Pine. They've cut the grass in the last couple of days but left it long under the tree where the footpath is, and also left a large bale right across the footpath. It'll be interesting over the next few days to see where the new path will be trodden - which side of the bale will they walk? We will soon know as the grass will quickly get trodden down. 
The village across the vale can be seen to the right of the tree - my thumbnail. This was about 9:30 this evening when it was cool enough to walk Ziggy.
