Hill Top Ramblings

First dahlia

Well summer is here at last! My first dahlia flowers are opening, and the temperature is high 20s. We had a nice sit in the garden this afternoon and dozed a bit. The honeybees were working at top speed, hopefully gathering the precious lime nectar…
Bonnie eventually got a bit bored so she had some ball chucker in the newly mown silage field, but not much as it was too hot for a black dog to dash about.
After a bit of supper we had some of Janet’s delicious coffee and chocolate ice cream that she made Rob for his birthday, it’s delicious!
And I finish off by watering the roses as they are suffering in our poor soil.
I wonder if we will get any more summer? :-)
