I Had a Farm

... in Africa, at the foot of the Ngong Hills - a quote from the film "Out of Africa". The Alentejo often reminds me of Africa, so easy to imagine giraffes or elephants crossing these plains, especially at sunrise.

Left home early to be with Netty's girls while she went to fetch Rich from the airport in Lisbon. Saw the Buck moon going down at ours, and then the sun rising on their farm before the girls were up - utterly beautiful.

Gratefuls:
- a good time with the girls, and the massive banana and chocolate loaf we made turning out delicious, seeing two hot air balloons, and Netty and Rich getting back safely
- hamburgers at Morango Bar, and meeting Welliton from Brasília
- ending the day with them all here at ours, chatting, drinking Per Se, and eating Mike's delicious bread, until it got dark, and a really cool breeze began to blow, looks like we're getting a break from the heat, yay!
