Little
I always enjoy seeing these tiny Green Metallic Sweat Bees, a halictus species. They seem to favor the black eyed Susans in my garden, so I knew if I lurked over the patch of flowers, I'd see one - or many. Usually I would have gone for a closer shot, but I kind of like the perspective this gives. The center of the flower is about the size of the tip of my pointer finger.
I started the day with some time in the garden and then came in to have a very enjoyable FT chat with my parents. They are in the midst of preparing to move and are replacing some of their larger pieces of furniture with smaller. I can scarcely believe that they will be here in probably 2 months time.
Meanwhile, I am still mentally sorting through the debacle in Brazil. I may be naive, but I remain optimistic that we will get our money back although I expect it will take longer than any of us would like.
A good friend of Hubs' is coming to stay for the weekend and we expect him to arrive any time now. They have been friends for many years and I know they will enjoy the time together. I'm heading out to photograph a horse show tomorrow - a good diversion for me and since it will be very hot and humid, it will be almost like being in the rain forest... or so I tell myself. Need to keep myself busy and try not to dwell too much on what happened.
Hubs is making burgers and grilled veggies for dinner tonight - a fairly healthy meal and sure to be delicious. Peppers, eggplant and squash are going on the grill now to be served at room temp later with a drizzle of olive oil.
xoxo
