Today in southern England was over 30C in many places. It is 31C in our garden room at 5:15 pm.

There has been wonderful tennis to watch from Wimbeldon, in the cool of the lounge with the fan whirring gently. I did think it rather over the top that the Wimbledon dress code means men officials and dignitaries were having to wear suits with ties, even in this heat. They all looked most uncomfortable, with the exception of John McEnroe who simply removed his tie!
