Sadness to see
I have had to crop the photo - what I’m looking at is a dead heron and a mourning heron, high up but reflected in the water too.
I noticed the dead heron earlier in the week. It’s sad. But today, the mourning heron has sat there and according to Google, it may sit up there for a very long time, even to the point of great hunger and a dishevelled plumage. The heron in the water is showing some signs of fish feeding. :-((
Back from walking the dogs, straight on to church for a Together Bible Study - lovely as always - then up to the high street to send a new baby present for a great niece and home to housework. It’s so hot.
I now have 9 great nieces/nephews, and another on the way. DougsJB and my sister are trying to organise a family gathering in the autumn. If some choose not to come, I’m not sure how I’ll ever get to meet some of them. My parents had 5 children and 18 grandchildren. The next generation may well be quite big.
