Woke to blue sky. I had an early wander up through Stock Ghyll Wood before it got too hot. The blip is the weir not far from the entrance. The waterfall wasn’t as well lit.
Home to cool down then an early lunch and a sit in the garden. I’d intended to have an afternoon indoors but decided to walk to the Co-op for a sliced white loaf. There’s one I like best for my toasties. There were none.
Normally I would have gone home but with it being such a lovely afternoon I walked to the bus stop and found an open top bus to Grasmere there. I had a scenic ride on the top deck. Bread purchased (and croissants too) then straight back to the bus stop. I didn’t even have time to sit on the wall before a bus arrived.
Off in Ambleside and over to road to the ice cream kiosk before the final walk uphill.
