Whip Coral Goby
A macro day today, not the most colourful specimen but nice to catch one.
The "whip coral fish" is referring to the whip coral goby, scientifically known as Bryaninops yongei. These tiny fish are known for their close association with a specific type of soft coral called whip coral or black wire coral (Cirrhipathes anguina). They live on the coral, using it for shelter and as a platform to feed on plankton and other particles.
