Lower Chicksgrove: Two of 'The Triplets'

Fuzzier fleeces in large
Extras:
Shetland sheep
Finding the car key in the copse
Back blip

Im and I spent the day visiting family friends in Lower Chicksgrove; they keep Shetland sheep and Aberdeen Angus cattle on land that once belonged to my forebears. We explored the whole farm, walked along the river Nadder, hacked through the copse, and then I realised that I'd lost the car key! UGH.
So, we re-walked our route, took a break for lunch in the local pub (The Compasses Inn, which was delightful), then re-walked our route again.
The AA and a local 'auto key' specialist both quoted eye-watering amounts for key replacement (>£400), and while I was on the phone with the second one (in the shade in the woods), Imogen found the car key in the undergrowth. PHEW!

We did lots of walking in appealing surroundings, so it wasn't at all bad really, even if the self-recriminations and anxiety certainly twinged at times.
