Today was the day

Bit of a tight time schedule but I managed it.

I decided that today was the day to try out the swimming pool. The adults only session was 12-1pm, so I got there early and was in the pool at 12.

12 lengths. It might not sound a lot but I’ve not done any lane swimming for years, so it was an achievement in itself for me to actually get there and do it after talking about it for the last 18 months!

Home by 12.40 and back out the door ten minutes later for an eye check up in Brotton. We were there ten minutes early and back home within the hour.

It was the sort of eye check up where you can’t drive home because of the drops. They also give me a bit of a headache for some reason, so it was a quiet couple of hours once home and all back to normal now.
