Table Mountain

Like many places, when the sun shines in Cape Town, it is transformed. This shot was taken from across the bay from the famous 'Table Mountain'. Today, for me, has been a day of meditation on the meaning of family. how is it we can love family members so much while finding them so intensely infuriating? There is something so bittersweet about familial love. So often it fails, with family members split by resentment or conflict. Yet we still dedicate time, energy and money to chasing and maintaining that immovable, intense 'blood is thicker than water' bond.
