Early to Bloom….

This camellia flower is growing on a very large, old tree in my garden. The flowers are just starting to bloom and they are almost as big as bread and butter plates. I suspect it is a very old variety.
Would you believe…..another cloudy grey day apart from a few minutes of diluted sunshine before lunch.
A pre-emptive State of Emergency has been declared for the Nelson/Tasman region over the Whangamoa Ranges from Marlborough. This is because very heavy rain is predicted in areas that are already sodden and waterlogged following recent stormy weather. I hope the bad weather will not pose the predicted threats .
