Roll and rock

Bestie did her best last night to pull me from my low mood, and I slept fairly well.  I took an early cycle into town again for another team day.  Well, I say 'team', but it was only two of us.  We had a good catch up through the day though.

After work I took a ride along the newest parts of the famed – and not uncontentious thanks to certain obstructive community councils – City Centre West-East Link which for the most part is really pretty good.  Yet I still find parts of it confusing and poorly signed or poorly coloured, and I often end up using the roads at the West End: roads that are heavily trafficked with buses and taxis; the very roads in fact that the cycle route was helpfully designed to avoid.

Edinburgh Castle was looking bonny in the sunshine though.  Two of the passing pedestrians meanwhile appear to be beaming in or out.

Then it was time to actually ride home, up the usual long drags, but with a quick pop into the supermarket en route to see what bargains were to be had.
