Isn't It Great When a Plan Comes Together!

A lot of people wouldn't get too excited about a photo of a sparrow, I mean, they're everywhere aren't they? Not in our garden they aren't!

I've been trying to attract them into the garden for ages. I put sparrow nest boxes up a few years ago and finally this little chap has raised a brood. Not in one of the well-appointed nest boxes I put up but in that gap under the eaves on the other side of the house. Ah well, the success is the important thing, not how it comes about!

All the info said to put nest boxes on a north or east facing wall but it seems that these sparrows prefer a home on the west side.
