(Green?) Fritillary

Today has been so busy. I was up early as I knew I had a lot to do today, and by 7am I was running through the woods with Xena. It was still very pleasant then because later it got so uncomfortably hot again. We are expecting very high temperatures here again over the next week, I am pleased to be escaping it as we leave early tomorrow morning for Switzerland.

I changed the bedding and had some laundry and ironing to do, and then went off to the hairdresser. Once I was back home again I started packing - it took me ages to pack, because we are going away for 6 weeks I had so much to pack. Once all my things were packed I had to work out all the dog food required and pack for Xena!

There is always so much to do before going away, I remembered to clean the coffee machine, clear out the fridge and clean it, and then pack all the various foodstuffs we are taking with us...it took all day! I also had to make meals for the journey, both breakfast (overnight oats with blueberries) and lunch - a chicken quinoa salad. I hope I have remembered to do everything. 

I saw more butterflies on my walk later today with Xena, I think this one is a green fritillary.

Now I need to finish off the last of the ironing....
