A demolition job
First I want to thank everyone for all the stars and hearts you gave for my photo of Margaret Bradshaw on Sunday. I fear I have not got time to thank you individually.
Secondly, I don’t usually post a picture of the same person within a week, but here is Eric, formerly seen eyeing his syrup sponge, but today dismantling the old gates at the entrance to my drive.
They have been deteriorating for many years. Eric is burning out a tree trunk in his garden, so the old wood will be good to make the fire.
I slept well and woke refreshed. It was just as well because I was learning how to use a new gimbal for my camera. It turned out that I had not ordered all the parts, although I still think that I read it correctly. I was given a discount on the extra part so all was OK.
I’ve faffed on sorting out camera equipment. Tomorrow morning I will retrieve my suitcase from the loft and hope to repair bits with Gaffer tape!
It’s been a hot day but it is now a lovely evening. The pheasant is strutting around the garden and the goldfinches are still busy feeding at 1930.
