Rudbeckia
Our son returned home this afternoon but I've had a lovely couple of days and have thoroughly enjoyed his company and being a bit spoilt. We visited C late morning. I said to him I'd been a bit poorly but I didn't mention hospital. I don't think he understood the poorly bit anyway but I like to keep him updated without anything that might worry him if he has a lucid moment.
When our son returned from walking Ziggy this morning he'd had lots of people asking how I am, because everyone around the village knows Ziggy.
After our son had gone I felt a bit lost so went into the garden to do a bit of deadheading. This Rudbeckia reminded me of an exotic butterfly.
Back to cooking my own dinner again this evening.
I will also give Ziggy a walk after dinner when it's a bit cooler. Fortunately this house stays pretty cool even in roasting temperatures. The house is a cross-shape so gets a good airflow from every direction if a few windows are open a little bit.
