Pretty Polly

This is one of my patio roses which I've had many years. It was very badly affected by the dry spell in May, when we were away, but has recovered amazingly well. It has a good perfume, too. 

I met my friends C and J today for lunch at the Cart & Horses pub in Kings Worthy.  There was a lot of catching  up as we haven't all been together since January, although I have seen each separately, and J  kindly came to Doris's  funeral last week.

A hot day, and it's getting  hotter over the coming week.
