Back in Wales after a drawn out, slightly wearing journey
There were a number of 'happenings' on the journey here.
Not the least of which was being met by a heron, standing up straight in the middle of the road on a sharp bend in a settlement called Horderley....
I had a BMW Z4 up my @#@! on my tail and vehicles coming the other way.
There was a degree of horn blaring, swerving, swearing and braking, and the heron, who didn't seem to want to move, eventually flapped his wings and went over the top of the car, missing the windscreen by inches.
He lazily flapped away over the hedge and an unpleasant incident was somehow avoided.
A journey of around an hour took well over two hours and I was mighty relieved to arrive in one piece.
Tea and cake were quickly administered, and a level of normality was soon established.
The blip is one view from our caravan site, on a pleasant and recuperative evening walk.
I hope tomorrow is more restful!
