Never caught up with myself

I slept badly and woke at 5. It was only after 6 when I fell asleep again, so I slept in and then felt terrible. I eventually emerged from bed and plied myself with coffee.

My plans to sort out camera equipment came to nothing.

I was finishing lunch when Lesley phoned. “Are you coming?” she said. “Coming where?” “To the garden party.”

It was our camera group’s summer get together. I had to change very quickly into my glad rags. My hair was not quite right, but it was too late to do anything. I arrived after most of the savoury food had gone so I ate the last sandwich and the last sausage roll!

It was a lovely do. We were in the garden of Christine and Kevin’s new(ish) house. This is the view north. You can see cows and sheep in the fields and Halton Castle in the far distance.

There was lots of lovely chatting.

I came home to make a pot of tea and wish I could wake up!

I have decided that I can’t walk tomorrow because I have lost a day for holiday preparation.
