Nursery
I went to the garden centre this afternoon, after a relaxing morning. It seems it's not only a nursery for plants, but for herring gulls - so many chicks bimbling about and pheep-ing at their parents. I liked this image of a very unbothered adult though, just hanging out on top of someone's van.
Tim stayed home to watch the British Grand Prix - which probably explains how I managed to spend an hour and a half at the garden centre (Tim always wants any shopping experience to be over as quickly as possible). I picked up a bag of grit, a plant pot and a fair few plants, and managed to spend a mere £35. Not bad!
Came home and had a cup of tea, then planted up a huge pot with some salvia, echinacea and achillea. I'm so happy with it! I'd bought a little pack of trailing lobelia plug plants too, so dotted those around various pots in the front garden, too, including the new one.
Pretty tired after all that, so had a nice relaxing evening with Tim in front of the telly. We also popped out before it got dark to have a little wander round the garden, check out the new plants, and have a good sniff of the star jasmine and honeysuckle (so fragrant!)
