All grown up

I think today is the most emotional I have been about a school milestone.
Mark strode off confidently with anticipation to his first day of High School.
He was given his tie at registration and obviously had great fun teaching a bunch of his classmates how to tie theirs.
He sounds like he has a good rapport with both teachers and pupils and a wide friend group. He has noticed already the way that some friendships are going to evolve and that not all class mates from primary will continue to be mates in the same way.
He was a bit sad about that but understands that's how life evolves.
He was reluctant to change out of his uniform. ( that won't last!)
Here's hoping that this enthusiasm lasts and the hormone monster doesn't snatch him away.
