Had a nice day mostly indoors doing chores but mostly study. The Mrs and I went grocery shopping, but decided to have lunch at the local McDonald’s. It’s a simple but nice site, made to look like a home and backyard. It has a nice outdoor patio and grass feature so it feels like those days hanging out at a friend’s place in the summer. Lots of families were there just passing through and kids were happy drinking sodas or munching on nuggets.

Although I’m not the biggest fan of the food, what I do miss about McDonald’s is the family branding it had in the 80s. When I was growing up, it felt special to go with my family then enjoy the playground after the meal. Donating to the Royal children’s hospital was also a worthwhile cause.

Jurassic World Rebirth is coming out here soon so it’s only natural for Maccas to have promotions for it. I had the Jurassic World Chicken burger and the Mrs had the Shrimp Jurassic World burger. It was a hot day so I decided to have a melon soda float. I was happy with that choice.

I think I will have such a great time taking my future family to McDonald’s on a special occasion just to enjoy our time together. Although I know Jurassic World Rebirth is not a good movie (and I don’t plan on seeing it despite being a Scarlet Johansson fan), I’ll just be happy hearing my kids talk about their favourite parts and reimagining scenes from the movie.
