The new Queensferry Crossing

It was my monthly site visit to the new Queensferry Crossing and progress is now very evident. The jumble of cranes over the sites of the main towers and piers is currently the only visible signs of activity. However, the next 2 weeks will see a massive underwater concrete pour to fill the massive caisson which will form the base for the south tower. This will involve a continuous night and day pour over the full period.

Look out for the first towers emerging above the river very soon!
